Uniform policy
We believe that a consistent school uniform policy is vital to promote the ethos of the school and provide a sense of belonging and identity for all pupils, regardless of their protected characteristics or socio-economic circumstances.
We have taken measures to ensure a consistent, fair and inclusive uniform policy, and to implement a uniform that reflects the needs of all pupils, is affordable, and provides the best value for money for both the school and families.

School tie
Starting in September 2027, a school tie will officially become a standard part of our school uniform. We believe this addition will not only sharpen our pupils' appearance but also instil a shared sense of pride and belonging as they represent our school community.
We understand that uniform changes require time and preparation. To ensure a smooth and seamless transition, we are introducing the tie gradually. The tie should be worn with a buttoned, plain blue shirt. We are also phasing out the pale blue polo shirts and our round top sweatshirts in favour of V-neck jumpers to go with our new tie, although these may continue to be worn until July 2027. Please feel no compulsion to purchase a V-neck until existing uniform needs replacing.
While this change will not take full effect until September 2027, we welcome and encourage families who wish to embrace this positive change sooner to do so starting from September 2026.
A gift from us
To support our families and celebrate this step forward together, the school will provide every child with their first school tie completely free of charge. They may be ordered now from the School Shop on your Arbor Parent App, and collected from the school office. Subsequent ties will be available to purchase for £3.99 from our usual suppliers.
